Giving Birth to Your Passion Is Like Giving Birth To A Child

If you have ever given birth to a child, you know
that there are many stages….

First it’s the conception stage…
Then it’s the morning sickness stage…
Then it’s the fatigue stage…
Then it’s labor and incredible pain stage…
Then it’s the giving birth stage…
Then it’s the crying stage….
Then it’s the crawling stage…
Then it’s the walking stage….
Then it’s the running stage…
Then it’s the confusion stage….
Then it’s the questioning stage…
Then it’s the understanding stage….
Then it’s the clarity stage….
Then it’s the maturing stage….
Then it’s the ‘learning from mistakes’ stage…
Then it’s the harvesting stage…
Then it’s the serving stage…
Then it’s the legacy stage….

You can’t skip over any of these stages…
Because nature wants it that way!

This is the blue print for giving birth to your ‘Passion’….

If your passion is crawling right now, you can’t beat it over the head just because it’s not in harvest stage yet!

Which stage is your Passion at now?

Breathe! You might be in labor !

The Achiever’s Attitude

The Achiever’s Attitude
by Paul J. Meyer

Achievers set goals and are dedicated to reaching them; they concentrate on their strengths and minimize their weaknesses… They continuously step up their courage, determination, and confidence, all the while keeping their achievements in perspective. In combination, these qualities make up the achiever’s attitude, the overall frame of mind that enables them to become successful in all areas of life.

Indeed, the achiever’s attitude is an essential part of reaching your goals and fulfilling your dreams. Best of all, through practice and repetition, you can develop these positive habits of thinking… Because your mind believes what you tell it—and your body receives direction from your mind—tell yourself constantly that you can do something, and you will.

Follow the five suggestions below and you will develop, strengthen, and benefit from the achiever’s attitude:

1. Focus On Your Goals

Achievers have a sufficient desire to reach the top, and work to gain the courage, determination, and confidence necessary to overcome the obstacles that stand between them and their goals.

2. Exert Self-Control

Achievers look forward—not backward. While many people panic when they make a few mistakes, achievers keep their mind focused on their goals and possess a mental toughness; and they never let their emotions disrupt their performance.

3. Be Teachable

Achievers realize they do not know everything. And they know they can always improve, no matter how good they are. They welcome constructive criticism and pursue suggestions from others to reach even higher levels of expertise and excellence.

4. Become A Team Player

Achievers are always willing to sacrifice personal glory for the good of the group. They demonstrate their willingness to help and support others.

5. Activate Your Pride

Achievers understand that pride is a powerful motivating force… It reflects a sense of their own abilities and values, because people with pride want their names associated with excellence.

Mastering the achievers attitude will carry you to high-performance living. William James wrote, “The greatest discovery of any generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes…” Resolve today to adopt the achiever’s attitude!

To your success,

Paul J. Meyer

The Money Is In The Doing!

Here’s a great post by Giovanna Garcia, a mompreneur who taught me how to blog and take imperfect action everyday.

What makes a successful person?

Is it their education? Is it their intelligent? Is it because they come from a wealthy family? Is it because they are lucky? Is it key_to_success1-199x300because they are well connected to the right people?

Not all successful entrepreneurs have a great education, take Henry Ford for example; the founder of Ford Motor Company. Henry dropped out of school at the age of seventeen.

I am sure all of successful people are Intelligent. But I would boldly guess that very few of them are genius.

No, not all of them came from a wealthy family. Take Martha Stewart she was born in a middle class family. Yet, that didn’t stop her from building her empire.

Thomas Edison the inventor of the light bulb. He tried over two thousand times before he finally got a working light bulb. So, it wasn’t luck for him.

What about if you were born into slavery and orphaned at the age of seven like Madam Walker; the first self made female millionaire in America. She got her start by selling her own hair product door to door back in 1900’s. I would say most likely Walker wasn’t well connected to start with.

So what is it? What is the key to their success? The answer may be simpler than you think. Although some successful people might have the education, is a genius, came from wealthy home, have the best luck or well connected with the right people. In reality most successful people got their success without all of the above.

The real key to it all is that they take action! They are the doer! The money is in the doing! The success is in the doing… Despite what popular believes; knowledge is not the key. If you think about it, anyone of us can pick up the medical books, law books but that doesn’t make us doctors or lawyers. It is the doing that make one a doctor or lawyer.

So whatever your heart desires, don’t sit on the side line. You have got to put Action into it. You have got to do it. The Money, the payout…is all in the doing!

Stop Trying Harder

One of the first mistakes people make when they start
their own network marketing business
is to do the same things they’ve always done when
working all the other ventures they’ve ever done. After all, it’s
worked before . . . right? So what’s the very first thing we do?
Try harder.

There are two problems with this: For one thing, there’s the
word try itself. It just doesn’t make any sense. And second is
the notion of trying harder.

Let me share with you a little story I read a while back.

I’m sitting in a quiet room at the Millcroft Inn, a peaceful
little place hidden back among the pine trees about an hour out
of Toronto. It’s just past noon, late July, and I’m listening to
the desperate sounds of a life-or-death struggle going on just a
few feet away.

There’s a small fly burning out the last of its short life’s
energies in a futile attempt to fly through the glass of the
windowpane. The whining wings tell the poignant story of the
fly’s strategy- try harder.

But it’s not working.

The frenzied effort offers no hope for survival. Ironically, the
struggle is part of the trap. It is impossible for the fly to
try hard enough to succeed at breaking through the glass.
Nevertheless, this little insect has staked its life on reaching
its goal through raw effort and determination.

This fly is doomed. It will die there on the windowsill.

Across the room, ten steps away, the door is open. Ten seconds
of flying time and this small creature could reach the outside
world it seeks. With only a fraction of the effort now being
wasted, it could be free of this self-imposed trap. The
breakthrough possibility is there. It would be so easy.

Why doesn’t the fly try another approach, something dramatically
different? How did it get so locked in on the idea that this
particular route, and determined effort, offer the most promise
for success? What logic is there in continuing until death, to
seek a breakthrough with “more of the same”?

No doubt this approach makes sense to the fly. Regrettably, it’s
an idea that will kill.

“Trying harder” isn’t necessarily the solution to achieving
more. It may not offer any real promise for getting what you
want out of life. Sometimes, in fact, it’s a big part of the
problem. . . .

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a
different result is one common definition of insanity. If you
aren’t having, and doing, and being all you dream of in your
life and work, trying harder clearly isn’t the answer. Doing
things differently is.
